Death Proof is a thriller directed by Quentin Tarantino. This film is a part of the Grindhouse double feature project. The film follows a stuntman who goes by the name of Mike. He is a former stunt driver who uses his car to murder and stalk young women; his car is “death proof”. The movie is split into two halves; these two halves feature different groups of women. This movie is really creative in terms of being in separate parts. In the first half, most of the power is towards Mike, but in the second, it shifts towards the female characters.

The Grindhouse project is a tribute to the 1970s exploitation of cinema. Death Proof is an interesting film in terms of its standing as one of Tarantino's main films. It goes back to being a shorter film, and it feels more like an experimental film than an actual, fully developed piece of film. You can really see this in the plot, because other films really shine in that area where this one is just alright.

Kill Bill vs Death Proof

Kill Bill 1&2 is more of an epic journey, and highly stylized violence, with influences from samurai cinema and westerns. With Kill Bill having chapters, it's really easy to follow along Beatrix Kiddo’s story, taking place in many countries besides the U.S

Death Proof, in contrast to Kill Bill, is more grounded and focuses on realism in the stunts. Death Proof is only certified in the U.S, so the scale of Death Proof is much smaller
