Django Unchained is a western action film directed by Quentin Tarantino. This is an excellent follow-up film to Inglourious Basterds. Django Unchained has an outstanding cast, set pieces, and soundtrack. This also rivals Pulp Fiction in being one of his best films ever. Django Unchained follows Django, an enslaved man freed by a bounty hunter named Dr. King Schultz. Django seeks to rescue his wife from a horrible plantation owner. The movie is set before the events of the Civil War in the South. The movie is a great modern western; it shows the cruelty of slavery and the violence behind it. As with every Quentin Tarantino movie, it is very dialogue-heavy, with over-the-top violence, and the classic theme of revenge. The journey with Django and Dr. King Schultz is very entertaining, and the dynamic between the two characters is done very well.
While criticized for having a long run time and the final 30 minutes of the movie being all over the place, it is still one of the best Tarantino movies. The movie is a great film to show revenge, love, and freedom.

Inglourious Basterds vs Django Unchained
Both of these movies are Quentin Tarantino's most highly rated movies behind Pulp Fiction. Django Unchained is slightly better in the ratings. Many people think that it goes both ways in terms of which is the better film.
Inglourious Basterds is a war film, so different from a western, so these two movies have differences. Inglourious Basterds has a shorter runtime, which is good because not a lot of people wanna watch a very long movie, but it's still pretty long. The plot and acting are better than Django Unchained. Inglourious Basterds flows better with every scene being important and not seeming out of place in the movie. No scenes feel unnecessary in this film, which is great. The performances of acting in terms of how many lines these actors have to speak are very impressive, and that's why it is better than Django.
Django Unchained has a better, revenge-themed soundtrack than Inglourious Basterds. Django seeking to rescue his wife from horrible slave owners and wanting revenge for what they did to him is an amazing story. With the duo making they’re way across the United States, the soundtrack makes the feel of the movie so much better. Quintin Tarantino wanted his own soundtrack, so they were original music in the soundtrack with older songs being brought back.
