Reservoir Dogs
Reservoir Dogs is Quentin Tarantino's very first movie, made in 1992. It is an excellent film for his debut. Starring Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Steve Buscemi, Chris Penn, and Lawrence Tirenny.
The film revolves around a group of criminals doing a heist. To keep everyone anonymous, each criminal is given a color. The actual heist is never shown; instead, the film focuses on the aftermath. Something goes wrong during the heist, and the rest of the movie shows how it happened.
The themes of Reservoir Dogs are trust, identity, and betrayal among the group of criminals. The heist is only unraveled by the dialogue between the characters, rather than you seeing the action. This gives it much more of a mystery feeling and keeps you engaged. You find out in the movies that someone in the group is a rat (undercover cop). Then, following the rest of the group as they try to figure out who it is.
Reservoir Dogs is an amazing film with a really good message about relationships and human behavior
